Australian all rounder Shane Watson was the star in this win as he took 3 wickets to restrict Ireland to a modest total of 123-7 and then scored brilliant 51 off just 30 balls (5×4, 3×6).
Watson and Warner had a 60 run first wicket partnership and Australia cruised to victory in the 16th over

Earlier Ireland won the toss and elected to bat first. W Porterfield got out on the very first ball of the match and it triggered the fall of wickets. Ireland could never ever get going as wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Kevin Brien was the top scorer for Ireland with 35 off 29 balls.
