The first game of the Super Eight stage of T20 World Cup 2012 Sri Lanka will take on New Zealand at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on 27th September 2012

Sri Lanka are considered favorites for this match due to the home advantage and their performance in their opening game but one can not rule out Kiwis who are capable of defeating any team in the world.

Sri Lanka will need to curtail B McCullum who has scored the highest T20 score (123) against Bangladesh last week. Once B McCullum gets going, New Zealand is sure of a victory. On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be banking on Kumar Sangakkara, Jayawardene and Dilshan in the batting department and Lasith Malinga and Ajantha Mendis in the bowling department.

This match is expected to be a real high scorer and T20 fans can hope to see a real entertainer in the first match of Super Eights.
